Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike

My Appalachian trail journey began as an eleven day adventure in the month of October from the beginning of the trail at Amicalola Falls State Park, located in Northern Georgia. My eleven day outing led me into the Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina on October 29, where I then reluctantly got off the trail to return to civilization for a brief period. It was then that my heart was locked in and my mind set that I would thru-hike the entirety of this trail. After some rearranging of life and a couple long months of anxious waiting, I then returned to the trail at the very foot step I had left before, off for a 2,000+ mile journey using only my legs as my means of transportation. It was the first week of March and off I was with a backpack full of things needed, food to devour, and a camera. The rest is now history.
